The University of Miami's Department of Social work (DOCS) four student run complimentary clinics: the Caridad Center in Boynton Beach, the Center for Haitian Studies (CHS) Center in Little Haiti, the CONCEPT DOCS Night Clinic in Overtown, and the San Juan Bosco (SJB) Center in Allapattah. All provide distinct chances for medical students to return to the neighborhood, get mentorship from physicians, and gain experience in acting as an integral part of the healthcare team.
SJB Center offers care to a varied immigrant neighborhood mostly from Latin America and the Caribbean, while CHS serves locals and Haitian immigrants in the Little Haiti community.
